We value
exploration, discovery, and enduring impact

Welcome! I’m glad you’re here

And since you’re here, I’ll guess that we’ve got some things in common, like a curious mind, a desire to grow, and a passion for integrity and excellence.

But we might also share a discovery: that our professional and leadership journeys have turned out not to be an easy stroll through a grassy meadow, but a mix of canyon crossings and high-altitude ascents—expeditions that aren’t meant to be solo treks.

I’ve learned that the hard way. And I want to share my learnings with you.

Like many people, I’ve held various leadership positions over decades of adulthood. In my case, a short list reads something like this: starting quarterback, classroom teacher, courtroom lawyer, executive officer, startup founder.

There were seasons during those disparate climbs when the weather turned, the trail vanished, and I found myself on the edge of a precipice wondering, “How did I get here?” “Where am I going?” “Who am I?” “Do I have what it takes?”

But the answers emerged when I was able to step back, look with curiosity, and listen to non-condemning observers who helped me reflect and identify the theme of the journey and begin to understand how my nature, disposition, and aptitudes interacted with that theme.

In my case, that theme turned out to be simple: Guide.

As I acquired and embraced new language and descriptions for my attributes (for the curious: INFJ; One wing Two; Intellection, Connectedness, Individualization), stepping into the role of guide felt like finding my footing. I realized I’d been doing it all along: guiding teams down the field, students toward discovery, juries toward the facts, and ideas into execution.

Canyon Advisory was born out of that adventure, to aid you in your discoveries, decisions, and direction as you cross your canyon toward your next summit.

Whether you engage with us through our Awareness Pathway as an individual leader or scale higher with our team and enterprise offerings, I want to encourage you with this: You already possess the core strength needed to summit the mountain ahead of you.

We look forward to supporting you on the climb!
